This event is geared towards Aitkin County residents with 20 acres of forested land, but all are welcome to join us as we talk about the basics of forest stewardship and managing your lands for things like wildlife, water quality, and forest health.

Aitkin County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), MN Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and My St. Croix Woods (an SCRA program), are partnering up to provide you with several options and opportunities in your area to help keep your woods healthy and forested. Watch drone footage of Aitkin County’s forested lands, learn about tax incentive programs and cost-shares, and hear about how you can potentially permanently protect your land with an easement, and connect with your local foresters to ask your woodland questions.
