May 15 Webinar Speaker bio: Dr. Sarah Nelson (Director of Research @Appalachian Mountain Club). “My research focuses on understanding the effects of atmospheric pollution and climate change on forests, foodwebs, and freshwaters in remote and protected ecosystems. Current research includes acid-base and carbon chemistry in lakes, climate change with a focus on changing winters, and mercury biogeochemistry, using approaches including long-term monitoring, bio-sentinels, and citizen science.”
