The Forest Stewards Guild accepts gifts of stocks or mutual funds. Your donation of securities helps the Guild fund critical programs throughout the US, expand our outreach to students, and bring members and partners together in collaborative and educational settings that further our mission of Putting the Forest First. Your donation may also provide you with significant tax savings.
Stock transfers
Please follow these instructions to initiate a stock transfer. Please also let us know that your gift of stock is coming. Due to privacy requirements, we are unable to access donor information through the financial agencies that process your transfer.
Mutual Fund transfers
For mutual fund transfers, please contact us or have your broker contact us first, so we can be sure these funds will be accepted into our account. Mutual funds typically take longer to transfer and may require that the Guild open an account with the mutual fund company prior to the transfer occurring.
