This session 4 field tour, in year two of the Science and Practice: Addressing Forest Climate Change in Maine series, will follow a webinar about the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust and Mixed Hardwoods on April 27.
Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust has conserved 14,000 acres of land including 50 miles of lake and river frontage, 15 islands and the majestic 2,443 foot Bald Mountain, all in the Rangeley Lakes Region. This diverse yet ecologically distinct region encompasses many different landowners, which have worked directly with Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust. More information is available here. Field trips will include walking over woodland trails that may include uneven ground, rocks, branches and roots and may not be handicap accessible.
Hosts: Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust personnel
