9:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET

Waynesville, NC (exact meeting location will be shared upon registering).

The meeting place only has space for 15 vehicles. Please plan to carpool and in your registration, let us know the names of the attendees you are sharing a vehicle with, so we can allow more participation than what we’d be limited to due to parking.

We invite foresters, loggers, and other natural resource practitioners to a workshop about Appalachian Cove Forests. This workshop is field-based and primarily focused on how to identify cove forests. We will also touch on ecological forest management and operations in cove forest sites. The workshop will be a “Walk & Talk”-style and include a 1.5 mile hike held at a segment of the Mountains to Sea trail near Waynesville, NC.
