This event is intended for private forest landowners.

Accessibility: We will be walking on uneven ground in the woods.

Join the Forest Stewards Guild, Aurora Sustainable Lands, Appalachian Mountains Joint Venture, West Virginia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlands Network, and West Virginia NRCS to learn about forestry for birds in West Virginia.

We will learn about:

  • The concepts of bird-friendly forestry
  • How to look at a forest through the eyes of a bird
  • How to find a forester
  • Bird identification tips and tricks
