Through Audubon Vermont’s Forester Training and Endorsement Program, you’ll join a growing network of professional foresters partnering with Audubon to promote healthy, bird-friendly forests.

This training covers bird habitat needs, landscape- and stand-level planning, and tools to support your work in the field.

What to Expect:

  • Morning Sessions: Learn how to assess forest bird habitats needs and apply silviculture to support birds.
  • Afternoon Forest Tour: Participate in habitat assessment and management exercises in a mature forest stand.

Audubon’s Forester Training and Endorsement Program is funded in NY by a Landscape Scale Restoration grant through the U.S department of Agriculture, Forest Service, an equal opportunity provider.

Additional program support and partners:
Forest Stewards Guild, Society of American Foresters, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, American Forest Foundation
