Back up date is April 12, 2025
Park at: 201 Seventh Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401. Group vans will transport us to the canoe put-in.
Join UA’s chapter of the Forest Stewards Guild for a forestry-focused canoe trip along the Cahaba River! We will be discovering how managing forests affects river and stream ecosystems.
At a glance:
- Beginner friendly canoe trip lead by the Cahaba River Society
- Boats, paddles, and gear will be provided with registration fee
- Transportation for the event to and from campus are provided
Please bring:
- Water bottle,
- Packed lunch,
- Sunscreen,
- Closed-toe footwear and clothes that can get muddy. Feet WILL get wet. No crocs, typically old sneakers work best,
- Change of clothes in case you get too wet.
