The Hemlock Restoration Initiative will host a demonstration of chemical treatment methods available for landowners and professionals to use in North Carolina to control the invasive hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA).

Participants will practice assessing hemlock health to determine the best treatment options, and HRI staff will demonstrate HWA chemical treatment. We will use the trees on-site to demonstrate and explain a variety of methods available to all landowners in North Carolina. We will also discuss environmental considerations and hiring a tree care professional.
