Summary: The Forest Health in Oregon: State of the State 2020 conference is a biennial conference and scientific update that brings together researchers and members of the forestry community. Participants will learn about the current condition of Oregon’s forests, forest health trends and challenges, current research, and silvicultural solutions. Geared to foresters, forest managers, woodland owners, students, policymakers, and others with an interest in forest health, the conference will provide a blend of current information and practical applications.
Participants will hear from speakers about rends in tree mortality related to drought, weather, and climate; how insects and disease are affecting forests in Oregon; and connections between biodiversity and forest health. Sessions will also address topics on collaboratives and partnerships, silviculture and forest operations, and fire.
