Join Us for a Forestry-Focused Gathering in Northern California. This PNW Guild Gathering is a collaborative event hosted by the Forest Stewards Guild, Pacific Forest Trust, and the City of Arcata. This event is part of the Guild’s 30th Anniversary event series, celebrating decades of advancing sustainable forestry and community stewardship. 

This two-day event will focus on working forests, climate-smart forestry practices, and conservation techniques, providing participants an opportunity to explore innovative approaches to sustainable forest management and conservation in the core of the redwood region. 

Event Highlights: 

  • Day 1 (April 25): Half-day tour at the Arcata Community Forest, highlighting community forestry, conservation goals, and ecosystem management. 
  • Day 2 (April 26): Full-day tour at Van Eck Forest, examining how silviculture can accelerate the recovery of old forests, the role of private forest land conservation, and fish and wildlife habitat restoration projects. 

Who Should Attend? 

Forestry professionals, Guild members, students, and community members interested in sustainable forest management.

Participants can register for one or both days, based on their interest and availability.  Registration details and a full agenda will be shared soon.
