We hope you will join us in Washington County at Mt. Richmond to dive into the new Forestry for the Birds Western Oregon Guide. This guide was developed to be a communication tool between landowners and foresters to talk about managing the health of a forest to support bird habitat. We’ll be reviewing the guide and applying features and talking points with Tualatin SWCD Forestry and Wildlife Specialists. We’ll also be talking about goal setting and monitoring. So, bring your binoculars, we’ll have the coffee and cake, and let’s talk birds!

  • Birding 101
  • Landowner Goals
  • Applying the Guide

10:30 – Monitoring: Is it applicable & options on how to apply it?

  • Low intensity options
  • Moderate intensity options
  • High intensity options

11:30 – End Workshop

Vehicle space is limited, so registration will be too. If you can partner up, all the better! Please contact event coordinator for carpooling options post registration at Maura@forestguild.org

Conditions: This may include longer walks on uneven terrain or steep terrain.
