Provide coordination support to three programs at Quivira.
- The New Agrarian Program (NAP) offers eight-month immersive apprenticeships in regenerative agriculture in partnership with mentor ranchers and farmers throughout the West (50% of time)
- The Carbon Ranch Initiative (CRI) increases the capacity for resilience to climate change and explores the potential for climate mitigation on working lands (25% of time)
- The NM Coalition to Enhance Working Lands (NMCEWL) is a network of groups and individuals whose purpose is to support and enhance ongoing efforts to improve the health and productivity of New Mexico working lands that support agriculture and the environment, and to promote healthy dialogue and partnership within communities and across organizations (25% of time).
The Southwest Coordinator will work closely with the leadership of each of these programs to coordinate specific activities such as facilitation of the Southwest NAP cohort, support for land and soil health workshops, and support for the NMCEWL Fellowship Program.
