If so, the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire & State Lands is seeking a forester to manage all aspects of forestry for Carbon, Emery, Grand, and San Juan counties. The position is based in beautiful Moab, in the heart of Utah’s red rock country, and involves work in diverse landscapes, from the riparian forests of the Colorado and Green rivers, to the high alpine forests of the La Sal Mountains and Wasatch Plateau.
- Advise landowners, communities, agencies, and the public in the areas of forest management, urban and community forestry, forest health, and wood utilization.
- Administer the Division’s Forest Stewardship, Forest Legacy, Forest Health, and Urban and Community Forestry programs in Southeast Utah.
- Provide forestry expertise to the Division’s Sovereign Lands, Wildland-Urban Interface, and Fire Programs in the Southeast Area.
