Summary:
This position will strategically improve program delivery and will help to provide landowners the best possible outcomes, including providing technical expertise on forest management issues, and contributing to sustainable business operations. Working with the Engagement Steward, this position devises and implements strategy on the role foresters can play in a long-term sustained strategy, enhancing the FFCP value proposition and improving long-term forest management outcomes. The Senior Forestry Manager works collaboratively with other regional team members, particularly the Account Management team and the Engagement Steward, partners, and landowners to ensure a positive landowner experience and seek ways to improve the program for landowners. The ideal candidate will be located in Minnesota, Wisconsin or Michigan and is willing and able to travel within the region as needed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the technical assistance strategy for landowners interested in the Family Forest Carbon Program in the Midwest region. Working with the Regional Team, Central Supply Operations Team, landowners, and foresters, strategically improve program delivery will help to provide landowners with positive outcomes
- Establish and update standard operating procedures for efficiently scheduling forester visits, coordinated follow-up and feedback from consultants
- Ideate and implement strategies for increasing efficiency and reducing cost of forester assistance during the landowner acquisition stage
- Supervise a team of FFCP foresters in landowner engagement best practices, including onboarding and active support and troubleshooting
