Summary:
The successful candidate for this full-time term appointment will further the New Mexico Reforestation Center’s collaborative efforts across the Southwest, including coordinating seed collection, propagation, and distribution, and supporting the reforestation pipeline. The position requires the ability to travel as needed, obtain a New Mexico driver’s license, and become a USDA Certified Tree Climber.
Duties:
- Coordinate with landowners, managers, nursery programs, and others for tree seed collections, including securing property access;
- Identify, collaborate, and maintain healthy working relationships with key reforestation actors to establish a network of reforestation partners;
- Facilitate training programs for tree seed collection and related activities;
- Assist with developing and maintaining seed bank inventory management databases, spatial data, and other tools to create opportunity for multi-party information sharing;
