Summary:

The primary purpose of the Coordinator is to serve as a Project Manager for the large and complex Rio Chama CFLRP. The project encompasses 3.7 million acres in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado, and includes portions of the San Juan and Rio Grande National Forests in Colorado, and the Carson and Santa Fe National Forests in New Mexico. The project has a well-established and highly engaged collaborative with whom the incumbent will work closely.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a Project Manager for the large and complex Rio Chama Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Project (CFLRP),
  • Formulates goals, objectives, and standards; developing long and short-range plans and budgets to achieve these goals and objectives,
  • Assist in developing an organizational structure to implement the project over the long term, in conjunction with forest leadership and the collaborative partners,
  • Coordinate the development of a multi-partner monitoring program,
  • Determine capacity needs to implement the project over the short-and long-term, and how to fulfill those needs through Forest Service staffing, and/or outside assistance in the form of agreements and contracts,
