Cold Hollow to Canada (CHC) is seeking a Program Manager for the organization’s Woodlots Program, a Peer to Peer landscape level management project. The Woodlots Program brings landowners together with contiguous or nearly contiguous properties to manage for wildlife habitat, ecosystem integrity, and climate change resilience across boundaries. We need a self-directed individual who welcomes a challenge, connects well with people, and has the necessary program management skills and background to be successful.
Woodlot Program Manager Duties include:
- Communicate with landowners and schedule in-person gatherings for all five Woodlot Groups. The in-person gatherings are located on individual woodlot member properties with a social aspect around a pot luck breakfast or lunch. Each gathering has a topic and includes a woods walk or a presentation. The coordinator would be responsible for either leading the walks and talks or finding a guest professional to be the lead on a topic. Board members may also lead.
- Development remote meeting arrangements for individual Woodlot groups as an alternative to in-person gatherings as conditions necessitate or opportunities arise. These include zoom chat, webinars, facebook groups, blogs, email, or other digital sharing.
- Implement the Interior Forest Bird Assessment for each new member property with assistance from Audubon VT.
