Summary:

Climate Change and Forest Regeneration: The School of Forest Resources at the University of Maine and the Environmental Studies Program at the University of Maine at Fort Kent are seeking an MS student to explore the impacts of changing climate on regeneration of ecologically and economically important tree species. Research will include, but is not limited to monitoring seasonal precipitation and temperature in Maine’s forests (conifer, mixedwood, and hardwood dominated), assessing the effect of soil characteristics on regeneration of key species, and synthesizing outcomes for forest management guidelines.
