The Silviculture Lab in the Department of Forestry at Mississippi State University is seeking applicants for a funded M.S. assistantship.

Start date: Ideally August 2020. January 2021 depending on the applicant.

Duration: 2-year position

Stipend: $15,000 annually, onetime award of $2500, tuition waiver, and insurance.

Summary: The successful candidate will work with Dr. Adam Polinko on research topics broadly focused in silviculture and/or stand dynamics. Candidates that are creative, independent and passionate about silviculture, forestry or ecology are encouraged to apply. The position will likely involve long days in the field as well as behind a computer.
