Summary:

The Forest Health Extension Lab at Clemson University is currently seeking to fill one MS position related to Asian longhorned beetle (ALB) invasion dynamics starting in Fall 2020. This position is in collaboration with the USDA Forest Service (USFS) and USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and the Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation. The project focus will be using dendrochronological methods to recreate the ALB invasion in Charleston Co., SC. The project will involve spending time in the affected area, working with state and federal regulators and tree removal crews, and learning about invasive species ecology and dendrochronology.
