Summary:

Performs specialized professional work in Natural Resources Stewardship’s Land Management and Monitoring Section. Monitors activities on County-owned natural areas; implements land management plans; performs plant and animal surveys, environmental enhancement projects, public use facility planning, contractor coordination/oversight and prescribed burn participation. Uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Produces annual biological status/monitoring reports, grant applications, technical reports, and Board of County Commissioners’ Agenda Items. Leads tours/facilitates presentations of the natural areas to groups and organizations; coordinates public outreach efforts with staff and outside organizations.
