Summary:

The PhD student will investigate disturbance and development patterns in mixed pine-oak forests, including effects of prescribed fire, thinning, and harvesting treatments. The student will work collaboratively with state and federal partners to improve our understanding of stand dynamics in pine-oak mixedwoods and to refine silvicultural prescriptions to promote mixed species stands.
