Join us in an exploration of hardwood management in the Pacific Northwest. This event will be a combination of engaging discussions and a field tour with Zena Forest Products. We’ll be exploring topics such as oak management and restoration\, ash management\, emerald ash borer\, and alder management. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to deepen your understanding of hardwood silviculture in the majestic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest region!    \nLunch will be provided at 1:00 p.m. Optional happy hour to follow (buy your own) at Gilgamesh Brewing  \nContinuing Education Credits are approved: 5.5 SAF and 3 Wildlife Society \nPlease bring: \n\nWater bottle\nSturdy footwear\nLong pants and long sleeves – we will be walking through areas that potentially contain poison oak\nSunscreen\nInsect repellent\n\nLogistics: \n\nWe will walk 1 – 2 miles on rocked roads. Poison oak is present\, so leaving the roads is optional.\nPlease be prepared to carpool from our meeting location to the field tour in the afternoon (this is a short drive).\n\nLodging: If you need lodging in the area before or after this event\, two options are below.
