Please save both dates).\n1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Eastern time \nNC Arboretum\, Asheville\, NC \nNC Pesticide Credits and ISA CEUs are available. \nThe Hemlock Restoration Initiative will host a demonstration of chemical treatment methods to control the invasive hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA) for tree care\, horticulture\, and other professionals. \nParticipants will practice assessing hemlock health to determine the best treatment options\, and HRI staff will demonstrate systemic chemical treatment methods for HWA. We will use the trees on-site to demonstrate and explain a variety of methods available to professionals and landowners in North Carolina. We will also discuss environmental considerations when using systemic insecticides on hemlocks and other practical tips.
