DESCRIPTION:Register (by April 19)\nSpace for this workshop is limited\, so please register early. $10\, non-refundable. \nApril 26\, 2023\n9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (ET)\nGill State Forest (near Crossnore\, NC) \nNC pesticide credits and ISA CEUs are available \nThis day-long workshop will give participants hands-on experience assessing and chemically treating hemlocks for HWA. We will use the trees present at the workshop site to learn and practice a variety of methods to treat hemlocks available to all landowners in North Carolina. We will cover the details of chemical treatment\, including: \n\nHow to identify hemlock trees and assess their health to determine appropriate treatment\nHow to select\, mix\, and safely apply products\nWays to reduce off-target risks to the environment\nWhen to seek help from a tree care professional\n\nParticipants will be provided with a series of short videos with additional background information.
