SUMMARY:Treatment Demo at Hanging Rock State Park
DESCRIPTION:Register (by February 12) \nFebruary 15\, 2023\n2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Eastern time \nThe Hemlock Restoration Initiative will host a demonstration of chemical treatment methods available for landowners and professionals to use in North Carolina to control the invasive hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA). \nParticipants will practice assessing hemlock health to determine the best treatment options\, and HRI staff will demonstrate HWA chemical treatment. We will use the trees on-site to demonstrate and explain a variety of methods available to all landowners in North Carolina. We will also discuss environmental considerations and hiring a tree care professional. \nThe program is free\, but registration is required. Please sign up using this form by Sunday\, February 12.
