MN TREX will be based in northern Minnesota with burning conducted on traditional lands of the Fond du Lac\, Leech Lake and Grand Portage Ojibwe Bands. \nMN TREX is open to all interested in prescribed fire. Requirements for this training are outlined in the application. If at any time you are unsure about the questions asked during this application\, please reach out to MN TREX organizers for assistance. \nDuring the two-week training participants will learn\, practice\, and share knowledge\, skills\, and experience in a unique\, hands-on training environment focused on fire management\, ecology\, outreach\, monitoring\, and operational dimensions of planning and implementing prescribed fire. \nApplication forms are due Sunday\, March 20th. Hood National Forest – Frog Lake Trail #530\, Government Camp\, OR 97028\nDirections: From Sandy\, travel 62 miles east on Highway 26\, then continue 1 mile west through the Snow-Park on Forest Road 2610. \nNote: Vehicle space is limited to 1 vehicle per two people. \nJoin us for this spring camping trip in the Mt. Hood National Forest. We will take a tour with the OSU Student Chapter of some of the USFS summer management forest efforts.
